About the Trainer

Amanda Posen, CPDT-KA is a certified professional dog trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers  and has been professionally training dogs since 2010. Her passion for dog training sparked when she was just 8 years old, volunteering as a guide dog puppy raiser with Guide Dogs of America. She graduated from Moorpark College's Exotic Animal Training and Management (EATM) program in 2010 and holds degrees in Exotic Animal Training and Management, Animal Behavior Management, and Wildlife Education.

Throughout her professional career, Amanda hasn't strictly worked as a private in-home dog trainer. She is also a studio trainer and has instructed basic obedience and dog training classes based on the exacting requirements for various production needs. Amanda also has professional experience working at a horse rescue, training volunteers, underprivileged children, and those with special needs to care for the animals at the rescue.

Amanda is dedicated and passionate about helping pet-parents work towards and achieve their training goals with their dog. Knowing that dog training can't be approached as a one size fits all, she takes the time to understand pet-parents training goals and needs with compassion and understanding. She looks forward to helping enrich the lives of many dogs and their families!
